Day 1: Vancouver to Kamloops to Blue River
Travelling locally seems to be all the rage now and we took advantage of the long weekend to embark on a Canadian Rockies Roadtrip adventure.
Travelling from Vancouver to Kamloops took 3.5 hours.
Stop #1: Hello Toast Cafe (Highlight)
We hit up a local brunch gem for brunch. We had to wait around 15 minutes and it was evident that this place is very popular. They have a great assortment of all day-breakfast items such as eggs, bennies, salads, soups, sandwiches etc.
The Swiss fun-guy egg bennies were delicious, and I liked that the bennies are on focaccia. A great tip would be to share a double or triplet portion with a friend to save costs, and because portions are so generous.
Stop #2: Eleanor Lake, Blue River
Eleanor Lake is a really pretty small lake in the centre of Blue River, BC. It is very family-friendly, and you can walk along the perimeter of the lake for a limited length, as is it flanked by private properties.
