The interior was really minimalistic and rustic, creating a warm and casual ambience.
We had the opportunity to sample their brunch menu which is available until 2pm.
The Wake N Bacon Pizza, comprising white sauce, thick smoked bacon, leeks, lazy egg and a mozza blend (tip: request parmesan cheese and hot sauce as dips on the side) was spectacular, and reminded me of a breakfast pizza. It’s a huge portion and definitely good for sharing. It also wasn’t overly heavy, and the ingredients melded together well.
Chicken and waffles were also a delight, with the flavorful fried sous-vide chicken being a standout. The portion was hearty and came with grainy dijon aioli, which added more dimension to the flavors.
Last but not least, the avocado toast with bennies on house-made sourdough bread was a real classic comfort food.
This North Vancouver joint is sure to be a classic for comforting favorites, and hit the spot as an awesome brunch gem.
