The 25-ish seat casual eatery is a comfort food lover’s dream. The menu consists of nine varieties of savoury souped-up biscuit creations and four sweet flavours along with sides.
The founder, Chew, has also created the “bonut”: a hot-glazed biscuit doughnut, made with a biscuit batter instead of the traditional yeast dough.
Devoted to buttermilk biscuits, this brunch place will definitely be super popular for its unique creations. I thoroughly loved the whole Southern vibe. The cafe has such a warm, inviting and cosy ambience as well. There were also exclusive interior flourishes like a chandelier feature comprising whisks, clearly signifying the baking efforts in the kitchen. As well, the eatery’s mantra, Better in a Biscuit, is also on clear display in the form of a painted logo.
The “Hot Mumma” - fried chicken breast, housemade fire sauce, awesome slaw, cucumber & blue cheese dressing
Veggie benny’s… yum
My friend had the Veggie and Chicken Benny’s which was really delicious
Dirty fries… their version of poutine
I’m pretty sure this is will be a Kitsilano neighbourhood brunch staple, definitely do try it for the cuisine and if you’re in the area.
